Race!
We had a good show last night with at least 300 attendees. i got to meet a few of the other artists but not as many as i had wanted to meet. We were all pretty busy with the guests. i brought home the ulu, ax and harpoon but left the magic mushrooms, caterpillar eats a leaf, amazon warrior and the turtle there for a month. Randall will show the exhibit by appointment for the next month.

Mike Williams
A Short Autobiography concerning my Artwork

Born in Houston in 1956. My family lived in Aldine. We moved to Spring in 1966, where I graduated from Spring ISD in 1974. After several years of work in the petrochemical industry as a pipefitter, welder and pressure vessel fitter I was able to get an office job as an autocad drafter/estimator in 1999. By 2005 I found that I missed working with my hands. I bought some equipment to use at home. 2010 found me laid off from my last job after 11 yrs of service. I felt called to work from my heart rather than for another company.

I've never been happier than I am now. I produce 3D representational plants and animals, wall hangings and a few abstracts. Most are flame painted with protective layers of clear coat. Also, some of which I keep for myself and use, functional knives, axes, tools and weapons, in a primitive style. I do all my work outdoors. Almost all the inspiration comes from being out in the woods, fields and on the water.

It is my desire to evoke a feeling of connection with Life and Nature and to share it with others.
